Turkish Ambassador wraps up his mission in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abulaziz Kamolov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey Mehmet Sertac Sonmezay, who is completing his mission in Uzbekistan, on 7 January 2014.
During the meeting, the sides considered issues of developing Uzbek-Turkish relations, in which trade-economic and investment cooperation took special place, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
It was underlined that the trade turnover between two nations is developing dynamically, which reached US$981.7 million in the first nine months of 2013.
Currently, over 500 enterprises with Turkish capital are operating in various sectors of economy of Uzbekistan.
Uzbek Minister expressed gratitude to Ambassador for his personal contribution to development of bilateral relations.
