Tashkent. Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the third plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, senators considered the issue of forming Tuprakkala district as part of Khorezm region and changing the borders of Khazarasp district of Khorezm region.

It was noted that the head of state on 12-13 March made a trip to Khorezm region in order to familiarize himself with the creative work and improvement being carried out on the ground, and the progress of socio-economic reforms. During the trip, a number of new proposals were put forward aimed at comprehensively increasing the potential of this area, practical tasks were set for responsible persons.

The initiative to create Tuprakkala district as part of Khorezm region for the socio-economic development of the city of Pitnak in Khazorasp region, which is the agricultural territory of Khorezm region, was also the result of this trip.

Today, 54 thousand 248 people live in the city of Pitnak. The territory of the city of Pitnak and Tuprakkala district is 143 thousand 74 hectares. Projects in the field of animal husbandry, poultry farming, fishing, horticulture and in other areas are being implemented on unused lands. In agriculture, the inclusion of 552 hectares of land and the cultivation of agricultural products is also envisaged.

Senators noted that the formation of Tuprakkala district will improve the conditions and lifestyle of the local population. An appropriate resolution of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was adopted on the issue under consideration.
