Trump Orders Strikes on Targets in Venezuela

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered strikes on a number of targets inside Venezuela, including military facilities. This was reported by CBS journalist Jennifer Jacobs, citing U.S. officials.

“President Trump ordered strikes on targets inside Venezuela, including military ones,” Jacobs wrote on social media platform X, referring to sources within the U.S. administration.

According to eyewitness accounts, explosions were heard in the country’s capital, Caracas. Local residents said blasts were heard in various parts of the city, as well as near Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía and at the port of La Guaira.

In addition, reports indicate that another explosion was recorded in the Venezuelan city of Higuerote, located east of Caracas.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has declared a state of emergency in the country. The armed forces have been placed on high alert and deployed to defend the nation’s sovereignty.
