Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the achievement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, which is expected to mark the official end of the 12-day armed conflict. The statement was made via his Truth Social account.
According to Trump, both parties have agreed to a full and comprehensive truce, set to take effect six hours after the completion of ongoing military operations on both sides. The ceasefire will initially last for 12 hours, after which the conflict will be officially deemed concluded.
Trump specified that Iran will be the first to halt its military actions, with Israel following suit 12 hours later. This means a full cessation of hostilities will be established within 24 hours, effectively ending the nearly two-week-long war.
The U.S. leader also expressed gratitude to both nations for what he described as their resilience, courage, and wisdom—qualities he believes made it possible to bring a protracted military confrontation to an end.
