Truck Driver Fined in Syrdarya Region for License Plate “FARRUX”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Syrdarya Region, traffic police officers of the Department of Internal Affairs identified the driver of a ZIL-53 truck who was using a self-modified license plate reading “FARRUX.” According to the man, he changed the plate out of curiosity, not realizing that this constituted a violation of the law.
An administrative report has been filed against the driver, and the vehicle has been temporarily impounded at a penalty lot.
It should be recalled that the use of personalized license plates will be officially permitted starting from 1 January 2026.
The state enterprise Uzavtomotobelgi will conduct open electronic auctions where combinations of up to six letters and/or numbers can be purchased. Such plates must not duplicate existing numbers and cannot contain expressions that are prohibited or considered morally unacceptable.
