Trainings under the project “Development of the livestock sector in Uzbekistan” to be held in 13 regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 18 February to 19 March 2019, in all regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, two-day workshops will be held on the theme “Training and raising awareness of project stakeholders on measures to protect the environment, social protection and gender issues”.

These activities are planned within the framework of the project “Development of the livestock sector in Uzbekistan”. The organizers plan to attract at least 520 participants representing leading companies and organizations of the country. The main purpose of the training is to increase the number of project participants and build their capacity.

The Republic of Uzbekistan is almost 50% agrarian country. The role of agriculture in the state is 45% of the cultivated land, 3.6 million people employed in the industry and about 20-25% of the income from the export of products. A significant part of this falls on livestock, and the government is actively working to increase the productivity of this sector. The project "Development of the livestock sector in Uzbekistan" was designed to optimize the pricing system in the industry. He combined the solution of such tasks as enhancing investment, simplifying access to animal health services, improving the quality of their food and introducing new technologies.

Upcoming trainings are one of the important components of the project for development of the livestock industry in Uzbekistan. The purpose of their implementation is to improve the skills of project participants. Representatives of financial organizations, agricultural enterprises, dekhkans and farms will be familiarized with the requirements of the Framework Program on Environmental and Social Management developed by the World Bank. Participants will also have to listen to reports of environmental protection specialists established by national legislation.

The trainings will be conducted by the specialists of the national consulting company Ekostandart Ekspert. To increase the efficiency of the events, employees of Eco Energy Company and The Performance Solution Training Center were also involved. The form of the seminars is interactive. Languages of conduct - Uzbek and Russian. In the framework of the seminars it is planned to visit existing enterprises of the livestock industry. On their basis, analyzes of effectiveness, identification of strengths and weaknesses, and the search for solutions to problems will be carried out.

Conducting trainings will be held on a modular system. Each of the four modules covers one of the key areas of the project. At the end of the event will be a survey of participants. Its objectives are to obtain an assessment of the quality of the organization and conduct a seminar. All participants will receive certificates, as well as flash drives with training materials. Thus, the organizers expect to distribute information among other residents of Uzbekistan, who are directly related to the livestock industry.
