Training on Intelligence Analysis for Law Enforcement Agencies of Uzbekistan takes place in Tashkent
ANACAPA training is a set of developed methodologies for intelligence analysis, which is being used since 1971 for analysts of law enforcement agencies worldwide. The training has been designed for mid rank law enforcement officers dealing with intelligence gathering and analysis to fight illegal drugs.
Nineteen Uzbek mid-rank officersfromNational Center on Drug Control under the Cabinet of Ministers,Border GuardsCommittee, State Customs Committee and Ministry of Interiorparticipated in thetraining.
The international trainer – Mr. Alan Blaney from Great Britain – introduced the participants to the theory of intelligence analysis in a variety of interactive formats reinforced through the use of practical exercises. In particular, the trainer together with participants discussed how to analyse the criminal business of drug trafficking, which is relevant to the participants’ area of work.
The overall objectives of BOMCA are to help increase security in the Central Asian region, to contribute toward the facilitation of legitimate trade and transit, and to reduce the illicit movement of goods and people.
