Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khosilbek Eshnazarov, an inspector of the Traffic Patrol Service of the Tashkent Road Safety Department, who was struck by a schoolboy driving a BMW in the city center, has died from his severe injuries, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan reported.

Khosilbek Eshnazarov was born in 1993 in the Kashkadarya region. He began his service in law enforcement in 2022. He is survived by three children.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of 25 February. At 21:46, a 10th-grade student without a driver’s license, operating a BMW M4, struck the traffic inspector while he was performing his official duties. The officer was hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigations revealed that the minor had previously been held accountable for various offenses, including skipping school, unauthorized driving, and serious traffic violations. His parents had also faced administrative penalties.
The BMW involved in the incident was registered to a young woman who, as it was established, had allowed unlicensed individuals to drive the vehicle 18 times since 2024 and had been recorded committing 37 serious traffic violations.
An official criminal case has been opened in connection with the traffic accident.
