Trading volume on the UZSE totaled US$20.53 million in April 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In April 2025, the total trading volume on the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) reached 265.90 billion soums (equivalent to US$20.53 million), which represents an increase of 37.46 billion soums or 16.4% compared to April 2024, according to the exchange’s press service.

Of the total amount, 113.93 billion soums (US$8.81 million), or 42.85%, accounted for transactions involving securities listed on the exchange’s quotation list. The remainder came from deals executed on the organized over-the-counter (OTC) market, referred to as the Non-Listed Trading Platform (NLTP).

A total of 35,789 transactions were recorded during the month, which is 5,150 deals (or 12.58%) fewer than in April 2024. Of these, 29,182 transactions involved securities from the quotation list, while 6,607 took place on the OTC market. The average daily trading volume stood at 12.09 billion soums (US$933,370), with an average of 1,627 deals per day.

The UCI index declined by 0.09% over the month, closing at 652.37 points.

In the equity market, the total trading volume amounted to 19.40 billion soums (US$1.50 million), down 263.49 million soums or 1.34% from the same period last year. The majority of equity trading — 10.60 billion soums — occurred on the negotiation board (Nego Board). The average daily equity market volume was 881.86 million soums (US$68,000), with an average of 1,264 deals per day.

The market capitalization of shares grew by 289.10 billion UZS (0.12%), reaching 242.58 trillion UZS (US$18.76 billion). The capitalization of freely tradable shares (free float) stood at 3.96 trillion UZS. As of the end of the month, the exchange’s quotation list included shares of 94 issuers.

The trading volume in the corporate bond market surged to 94.52 billion soums (US$7.31 million), a 71-fold increase or up by 93.20 billion soums compared to April 2024. The average daily bond trading volume reached 4.3 billion soums, with 63 deals per day.

The market value of bonds listed on the exchange totaled 1.5 trillion soums (US$113.35 million).

On the exchange’s OTC platform, 6,607 transactions were completed — a 35.81% increase compared to April of the previous year. The total trading volume reached 151.97 billion soums (US$11.72 million), which is a 26.74% decline year-on-year. The deals involved securities from 99 different issuers.
