Trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Russia hits US$7.63bn in 2012

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia grew by 12.6% year-on-year to US$7.63 billion in January-December 2012, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The volume of exports from Uzbekistan to Russia made up US$5.178 billion in January-December 2012 against US$4.405 billion in the same period of 2011.

Imports of Uzbekistan from Russia rose from US$2.37 billion in 2011 to US$2.452 billion in the 2012, the committee said.

Russia was the largest trade partner of Uzbekistan in January-December 2012 as its share in total turnover made up 29%.

Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$26.286 billion in January-December 2012, or fell by 0.9% year-on-year.
