Trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan could grow to US$500 million
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Bilateral trade between Belarus and Uzbekistan may reach about US$500 million in 2019, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev told to ONT TV channel.
- The leaders of our states set the task to increase trade. We hope that this year it will be about US$500 million, noted Ganiev.
He assured that Uzbekistan sees good prospects for cooperation between the two countries, especially in industry.
- This is one of the most interesting topics. We work here from two sides. I think we have great opportunities here, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Dvornik said that Belarus will do everything possible to increase trade turnover between the two countries.
In 2018, trade amounted to US$157.4 million. Belarus exported US$113.6 million. Last year, Uzbekistan invested US$2.2 million in the Belarusian economy, BelTA reported.
