TRACECA to provide technical assistance to Uzbekistan to introduce tachographs

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on issues of ensuring traffic safety in Uzbekistan, including implementation of international conventions and agreement in the sphere, the information service of the Uzbek agency said.

The sides also discussed implementation of measures, envisaged by the European agreements related to work of drivers of trucks, carrying out international automobile transportation.

Ross said that “TRACECA – safety of automobile transport II” project will render technical assistance to develop strategy on ensuring traffic safety and introduction of digital tachographs in line with the requirements of the EU agreement.
