Tourism in Uzbekistan is Growing: 1.4 Million Foreign Visitors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed approximately 1.4 million foreign nationals for tourism purposes, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

This is 506,000 more visitors compared to the same period last year, indicating a significant recovery and growth in tourist inflows.

Neighboring countries remain the leaders in visitor numbers: 269.2 thousand arrivals came from Russia, 193.6 thousand from Turkmenistan, and 143.9 thousand from Kazakhstan. A substantial number of tourists also came from China — 117.9 thousand, Kyrgyzstan — 114 thousand, and Tajikistan — 84.7 thousand.

Among more distant countries, Türkiye accounted for the largest number of visitors (50.9 thousand), followed by Italy (32.6 thousand), India (32.3 thousand), Germany (29.6 thousand), South Korea (26.8 thousand), and the United States (23.6 thousand).

Visitors from other countries accounted for 255.9 thousand trips.
