Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 30 November, the twenty-fourth meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held.

A number of important issues that were actively discussed by senators were considered on the agenda of the plenary meeting.

At the end of the plenary session, Senate Chairperson Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva dwelled on the issue of active participation in the reforms being carried out in our country, worthy of an electoral process based on democratic principles.

“First of all, our first priority should be to widely disseminate the adopted laws, decrees, regulatory legal acts to the public with the participation of representatives of the media,” said Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. - Over the past period of this year, many reforms have also been implemented. However, there is still much work to be done. First of all, we must take stock of the year. At today's plenary meeting, information was given on the Strategy for Action.

However, in this direction there is enough work to be done. First we must finish the rest of the work. Based on an analysis of our shortcomings, it is advisable to draw up well-developed plans in 2020. In addition, it is necessary to carry out work to provide social assistance to wide sections of the population, especially low-income, socially vulnerable groups.

Another point ahead of us is an important political event - elections. We must also conduct them at a high level in full compliance with democratic principles. For this, it is necessary, starting from the lower echelon, with the mahalla, to provide practical assistance to leaders of all levels in their work.

In addition, on 8 December is approaching — the day of the adoption of the Constitution. In connection with this date, I congratulate everyone on behalf of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and wish them great success in their work.
