Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Transmashholding (TMH) and the state unitary enterprise Toshkent Metro signed a memorandum of cooperation in the area related to the concept of development of the Tashkent metro.
The document was signed by the Director General of TMH, a member of the Bureau of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Kirill Lipa and the head of the Tashkent Metro, Rakhmonbek Usmanov. The memorandum will be valid during 2022-2032.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties intend to interact in areas related to the development of infrastructure, rolling stock, passenger traffic, creating favorable conditions for the application of the achievements of science and technology in the interests of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The signatories of the memorandum consider a promising task to develop the efficiency of the State Unitary Enterprise "Toshkent Metro" in the direction of modernization of infrastructure and renewal of rolling stock; implementation of a digital process control system using modern information technologies; improvement of security systems, introduction of microprocessor control systems and traffic dispatching; integration of networks of overground passenger transport and the metro in order to increase the availability and demand for the metro; introduction of a system for the provision of trade and advertising services on the territory of the metro, due to the technical equipping of the metro infrastructure with digital solutions; creation of a logistics center for the integration of suburban, urban passenger transport and the subway, the introduction of a system of professional training.
The TMH Competence Center in the field of metro car building, Metrowagonmash, has been cooperating with the Tashkent Metro since its opening in 1977.
TMH is one of the world leaders in the development and production of metro cars. The rolling stock, produced in different years at the enterprises of the holding, transports passengers of 19 subways in 11 countries of the world.
