Tires of Uzbekistan Airways’ plane burst during landing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 August 2018, tires of the Boeing 767 plane of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), flying on route Istanbul-Tashkent, were partially burst during the landing.

According to the airline, the incident occurred at 5:10 am due to the failure of one of the braking systems, which caused overheating of the chassis wheels with partial destruction of the tires.

The landing was carried out in a regular mode. An investigation is under way.

The national airline apologizes to passengers for inconvenience, the airline said.
