TIAC participates in the Paris Arbitration Week

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Arbitration experts from around the world book in advance the dates of the Paris Arbitration Week in their calendars. This year, the week of arbitration is held in Paris from April 1 to 5.

Representatives of arbitration centers from Uzbekistan, whose purpose is to resolve international disputes, are represented for the first time in this event by Diana Baizakova and Ilkhom Bektemirov, director and deputy director of the Tashkent International Arbitration Center (TIAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Paris is considered to be one of the world capitals of international commercial and investment arbitration. It was here that the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) was established in 1919 and its secretariat is located.

The International Chamber of Commerce brings together more than 45 million companies from more than 100 countries and its main goal is to promote international trade and investment, ranging from resolving disputes to ending global initiatives to unify customs and border procedures.

Paris Arbitration Week is a discussion platform that brings together the international arbitration community during academic debates and the exchange of professional knowledge. This year, during the week of arbitration, it is planned to attract more than 1000 participants in more than 35 official academic and professional events, as well as 2 open public meetings, which are free for the public to attend.

The number of events held during the 3rd day of the Paris Arbitration Week (April 3) included the second meeting of the TIAC Supervisory Board. The members of the Supervisory Board will present their vision of the TIAC perspectives and share their views on the future development strategy of this arbitration institution with leading international arbitration experts, arbitrators and representatives of leading international arbitration centers.

During this meeting, which more than 100 representatives of the arbitration community and business have registered, the participants will be familiarized with the details of the launch of TIAC, its arbitration rules, plans for this year and other aspects of the activity.
