Three-level interchange to be launched in 2Q 2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Three-level interchange is constructed in Tashkent at one of the busiest road sections of the capital at the intersection of Ahangaran and Makhtumkuli streets.

This is the first construction of this kind and there is no its analogues in our country yet, the press service of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari said.

It should be noted that in a relatively short time, the specialists of the UE “Trust “Kuprikkurilish”, subordinated to the Uzbekistan Railways, have done a lot of work on the implementation of this project. Until today, the main works of the first phase of construction have been completed - a tunnel is being laid, construction is underway. Now construction and installation work is underway here. The installation of the six main supports of the overpass part has been completed, three of them have bolts installed.

In general, today more than 150 thousand cubic meters of earthworks and over 11 thousand cubic meters of concrete work have been completed. The engineering and technical staff and professional workers - rebar workers, concrete workers, road workers and many other specialists - work almost around the clock.

As for the overall technical readiness of the object, it can be noted that the tunnel part was built by 85%, the ring part of the road - by 70%, the upper level of the overpass - by 35%.

The first stage of construction covers the construction of a tunnel with a length of 502 meters, a width of 26.7 meters and a vertical dimension of 5.5 meters. Each direction of the road will be three-lane. At the second stage of construction, it is planned to erect a circular overpass, which will be 50 meters in diameter and 1 meter above the ground level.

The third stage includes a unique overpass connecting Airport-Vostochny and Makhtumkuli streets. This part of the junction will be 593 meters long, 26 meters wide and also three lanes in each direction. This stretch of road will provide ease of movement for drivers of vehicles moving towards the cities of Parkent, Chirchik and Bostanlyk in Tashkent region.

Commissioning of a new and unique engineering structure is planned in the second half of this year.
