Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Center for Strategic Studies of the United Arab Emirates have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Dunyo reported.

The document was signed in accordance with the agreements reached in the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019.

The memorandum envisages long-term cooperation between the leading analytical structures of the two countries in order to improve mutual understanding and expand interstate relations.

In the framework of cooperation, the parties plan to exchange information and publications, to conduct joint events on topics of mutual interest.

The signing of the Memorandum will create a solid foundation for strengthening the Uzbek-Emirate ties, which have recently reached a new level of development.

It should be noted that the Center for Strategic Studies is a state research institution established in 1994 with headquarters in the city of Abu Dhabi. It conducts strategic research on relevant aspects of socio-political, economic, social, informational development, the environment, and health care. Scientific conferences, symposia, lectures and meetings with well-known specialists, high-ranking figures are organized on an ongoing basis. The center has partnerships with 97 think tanks and research institutions around the world.
