There Are 32 Entrepreneurs per 1,000 Residents In Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to data from the National Statistics Committee, as of 1 October 2025, Uzbekistan had 32.1 business entities per 1,000 residents.

The highest number of entrepreneurs is registered in Khorezm Region — 43.5 thousand, in the city of Tashkent — 43.4 thousand, as well as in Syrdarya and Bukhara regions, with 37.7 thousand and 37.5 thousand entrepreneurs, respectively.

Significant figures were also reported in Navoi, Andijan, and Jizzakh regions, ranging from 34.6 to 36.2 thousand business entities.

At the same time, the fewest entrepreneurs are found in Surkhandarya Region — 24.3 thousand, as well as in Kashkadarya, Ferghana, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where the numbers range from 26.1 to 28 thousand business entities.

The average level of entrepreneurial activity in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Namangan regions ranges from 28.5 to 31 thousand business entities.
