The Yuksalish Movement becomes a member of the CIVICUS Global Alliance

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Yuksalish nationwide movement has become a member of the CIVICUS global alliance, which monitors the level of development of democracy and civil society in the countries of the world. It is noteworthy that the ONE "Yuksalish" became the first public organization in Uzbekistan to join this international organization.

“CIVICUS” conducts its activities independently of any political parties or movements, regularly provides program information on the development of civil society in the world. At the same time, it promotes the development of the sphere by organizing regional and international meetings at different levels, and implementing special projects.

The Yuksalish nationwide movement began its activities in 2019. Among its main tasks is to unite citizens, civil society institutions, representatives of the business community and academia through the implementation of various projects. In particular, the movement supports non-governmental non-profit organizations and other civil society institutions, and provides them with financial and institutional assistance. In addition, it carries out public monitoring of the implementation of local reforms envisaged by state programs.

The Yuksalish nationwide movement makes proposals on the development of spheres and analytical information on shortcomings identified during activities to the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The international non-profit organization “CIVICUS”, which is considered a global alliance, created in 1993. The headquarters is located in Johannesburg (South Africa). Currently, the organization has over 4,000 members from 175 countries. This international organization may include public foundations and other civil society institutions.
