The World Bank mission takes part in seminars on the project “Modernization of the system of registration of real estate and cadaster”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee of Uzbekistan on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and the State Cadastre held seminars in Samarkand and Tashkent, where projects were presented to improve the quality of public services in cadastre and real estate registration, implemented with the support of the World Bank.

The program of events included reports on topical issues of introducing modern information and communication technologies into the system of cadastral registration and state registration of rights to real estate, ensuring the accelerated development of information resources and systems, as well as the provision of high-quality interactive public services for the population, state bodies and subjects entrepreneurship.

State Cadaster Committee, the World Bank, local and foreign experts informed the participants of the events about the strategy of developing information and communication technologies of the State Cadaster Committee, creating integrated information systems for real estate registration and cadastre, best practices in the field of digitization of registration records, as well as the development of legal norms governing real estate registration activities and inventory.

Also, the speakers of the events explained the recent political decisions of the government, including the adopted resolutions governing the issue of a one-time nationwide action to recognize ownership of illegally constructed residential premises, as well as measures to introduce transparent mechanisms for providing land for permanent use for business and urban planning. .

Following the events, a meeting of the World Bank mission with the committee chairman Abdushukur Abdullayev was held in the building of the State Cadaster Committee.

At this meeting, representatives of the World Bank congratulated the committee on the successes achieved in the field of land market liberalization in Uzbekistan, which will contribute to improving the external and internal investment climate of the country.

In turn, the chairman of the State Committee thanked the World Bank mission for the analytical and financial support provided in the framework of the project "Modernization of the system of real estate registration and cadaster."

He also noted the exceptional importance of this project for improving the quality of public services in the sphere of cadaster, real estate registration, meeting the needs of citizens, business entities, government bodies and developing the potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
