Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group led by Chairman of the Board of Thermal Power Plants R. Mubarakshin visited Turakurgan TPP and Ferghana TPP to study ongoing construction work, implement investment projects, solve existing problems and disadvantages associated with the implementation of projects.
Currently, Thermal Power Plants JSC implements measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection at subordinate enterprises in order to maintain full efficiency and production of electricity in the intended volume. This was reported by the press service of Thermal Power Plants JSC.
The working group studied the conditions created for personnel during the 15-day shift regime. The members of the working group also familiarized themselves with the procedures being implemented to create additional conditions for employees and workers, stimulate labor and protect their health.
At the entrance of the working group’s visit to the “Turakurgan TPP”, issues of ensuring sustainability and efficient organization of production capacities were discussed.
The working group also examined the construction of the Turakurgan TPP-Yulduz high-voltage power line, which is currently nearing completion. It should be noted that 347 metal supports of the overhead line were fully installed, and the installation of power transmission cables 100 km long was completed. Currently, at the substation Yulduz installation and commissioning are being carried out.
According to experts, the construction of this high-voltage power line plays an important role in providing high-quality electricity to the people of Namangan and Andijan.
At the Ferghana TPP, the working group got acquainted with the construction process of a 17 MW gas turbine unit. The work is carried out in cooperation with the Government of Japan on the basis of an investment project. Subject to all necessary hygiene requirements under quarantine conditions at the construction site, work is in full swing.
“Our main goal is the effective implementation of this investment project,” says R. Mubarakshin, Chairman of the Board of Thermal Power Plants JSC. - Construction and commissioning of this device as soon as possible, that is, by the end of the year, will serve the needs of the population of Ferghana region in additional electricity. To this end, the priority task is to further accelerate the construction work in order to complete the commissioning of the device in September-October this year.
The working group also inspected the operation of a 7 MW gas turbine unit located 17 km from the Ferghana Thermal Power Plant. The device was commissioned in December 2019 and currently provides heat and additional electricity to the population of the city of Ferghana.
