Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz is implementing an investment project worth US$49.4 million for the construction of the Uchkir propane-butane mixture separation unit of the Gazli oil and gas production department. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
For the implementation of the project, 13 foreign contracts worth US$13.21 million were concluded, providing for the purchase of equipment imported at the Ukrainian plants Sumy NPO and Turbogaz, the Russian plants Hydromashservice, AZSTRASTSTROY and Promresurs, and the German plant "Linde AG" and other foreign factories.
Currently, such equipment as a turboexpander, pump, section of air coolers, heat-exchange equipment and separators are fully imported.
Members of the working group, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev, visited the Gazli oil and gas production department located in Bukhara region in order to study the state of preparation and supply of equipment within the framework of this investment project.
Within the framework of this project, the members of the working group studied the current state of construction work on a device for zeolite drying of gas, reception of liquefied gas, containers for storage and delivery of liquefied gas to consumers, devices for producing propane butane mixture, laboratory premises.
During the visit of Chairman of the Board Mehriddin Abdullayev and members of the working group to the Gazli Oil and Gas Production Directorate, instructions were given to improve the quality and speed up the work carried out under the project.
To date, the general contractor, Mubarakneftegazmontazh, has completed 43.6 percent of the construction work, and it was determined that the construction and installation work should be completed in November of this year.
As part of the 5-year program, the construction work of the Uchkir compressor station and the 6-network of the Uchkir sulfur treatment plant at the Uchkir facility by ENTER Engineering Pte.Ltd. Were reviewed, and the task of launching them in July was also set and September of this year.
Production of up to 80,000 tonnes of propane-butane mixture and 37,500 tonnes of condensate per year is carried out through the construction of a plant for the production of propane-butane mixture with a processing capacity of 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year, also It is planned to satisfy the growing demand for these products in the domestic market.
