The volume of localized products in 2020-2021 should be increased by at least 20%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President “On further increasing the responsibility of local and state government and executive authorities in the field for the introduction of a new production localization system and accelerating cooperative ties in industries” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, the volume of localized products in 2020-2021 should be increased by at least 20%. To achieve this goal, a number of measures have been outlined.

In particular:

- manufacturers of import-substituting and export-oriented products are compensated for guarantees and credit interest rates;

- in the khokimiyats of the regions and the city of Tashkent, the post of assistant khokim on the issues of localization of production and the expansion of cooperative ties in industry is being introduced.

The Uzbek leader ordered to create a separate structural unit for continuous analysis and monitoring of imports in the Accounts Chamber.

In the Cabinet of Ministers, the Sector for the development of production localization programs in economic sectors and territories, as well as for the development of cooperative ties in industry will be created.

The Ministry of Economy and Industry has been identified by the authorized body to deepen the processes of localization of production and the development of industrial cooperation with the assignment of additional tasks to it.
