Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, the twenty-third plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan will begin its work in Tashkent.

The meeting will be attended by members of the government, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of domestic and foreign media.

The meeting will be chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaev.

The senators in the plenary session will consider a number of laws aimed at implementing the goals and objectives identified at a qualitatively new stage in the country's development, the implementation of the State Program for the implementation of the Strategy of Action for the five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017–2021 in the “Year of Active Investment and Social development ”, as well as other issues.
