Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A government resolution “On measures to organize the activities of the Mahalla va oilaa Research Institute under the Ministry of Support of the Mahalla and Family of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, the Mahalla va oila Research Institute is a specialized research institution engaged in promoting the strengthening of the mahalla and family institutions, turning citizen gatherings into genuine like-minded people, as well as scientific, practical and information-analytical support works on the implementation of the idea of “A healthy family - a healthy society”.

The resolution defines the main tasks of the Institute.

In particular, the Institute effectively and fully implements a system based on the principle of “Comfortable and safe mahalla”, takes part in the formation of priority areas in the field of strengthening mahalla and family institutions, and carries out interdisciplinary fundamental, scientific and practical research and innovative projects.

The resolution approved the structure and charter of this Institute.

The Director of the Institute is appointed and dismissed by the Cabinet of Ministers on the proposal of the Minister for Support of the Mahalla and Family.

The Research Institute "Mahalla va oila" was formed by the relevant Decree of the President from 18 February 2020.
