Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Government Resolution approved the Regulation on the Inspectorate for Monitoring the Use of Drinking Water at the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities.
In accordance with the Regulation, the Inspectorate for monitoring the use of drinking water is the authorized body for the implementation of state control in the field of drinking water supply and sanitation.
The Regulation defines the main tasks and functions of the Inspectorate, as well as regional inspections.
In particular, the Inspectorate exercises state control over compliance with regulatory requirements for the rational and efficient production, supply and sale of drinking water, the use of drinking water, technical regulation in the field of sewage and wastewater treatment services.
The Head of the Inspectorate is appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services in consultation with the First Deputy Prime Minister.
The effectiveness and efficiency of the Inspectorate will be evaluated on a regular basis.
