The State Paid 22.3 Billion Soums to Families in Uzbekistan for Funeral Arrangements in September
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In September, thousands of families across Uzbekistan received state support for funeral arrangements. A total of 22.3 billion soums was allocated from the budget for this purpose.
According to the National Agency for Social Protection, 11,800 citizens received funeral allowances. To apply, it is sufficient to visit any branch of Halk Bank or use the “Hazna” mobile application, providing a death certificate issued by the civil registry authorities. Applications must be submitted within 60 days of the death registration; otherwise, the payment will not be made.
Currently, the funeral allowance amounts to 1.88 million soums, while the widow’s pension is approximately 893,000 soums. The agency emphasized that all social payments are made in full and strictly in accordance with existing legislation.
Overall, in September, various one-time benefits reached 40,600 people. Nearly 48 billion soums were allocated to support these citizens, with the majority of payments going to allowances for the birth of a third child and funeral support.
