The State Paid 153.6 Billion Soums in Subsidies for Solar Power Generation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2025, 35,284 individuals in Uzbekistan received subsidies from the state budget totaling 153.643 billion soums for electricity generated by solar panels and fed into the national grid.
The largest disbursements were made to Khorezm Region — 42.6 billion soums, Republic of Karakalpakstan — 22.4 billion soums, and Bukhara Region — 15.3 billion soums.
Subsidies can be credited directly to a bank card via the Soliq mobile application. Users can access the service under “Cashback and Benefits,” then select the “Solar Home” section, and use the “Transfer to Card” option.
Since April 1, 2023, under the “Solar Home” program, individuals receive 1,000 soums per kilowatt-hour of surplus electricity generated by solar panels installed on their property and delivered to the unified electricity system. The initiative aims to promote clean energy production and support households using solar technology.
