The State Customs Committee commented on the information disseminated on social networks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 1 October, information was posted on social networks about 40 trucks standing in line due to traffic jams at the entrance to the border customs post “Daut-ata” of the Republic of Karakalpakstan from the border customs post “Tajen” Republic of Kazakhstan.

Having studied the information, the State Customs Committee reports the following.

In order to prevent accumulations at the Daut-ata border customs post of the Customs Administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in the last days of September, all forces and means were mobilized to conduct customs control and customs clearance of freight vehicles moving towards the country.

When analyzing the number of vehicles moving across the customs border, a significant increase was observed.

Currently, 130 thousand citizens and about 6 thousand vehicles a day are moving at the border customs posts of our Republic, of which 2 thousand 300 are freight vehicles, the remaining 3 thousand 700 are cars and buses.

For example, while at the beginning of September, only at the Daut-Ata border customs post, customs clearance was carried out for 150 freight vehicles per day, by the end of September this figure reached 230 vehicles per day.

At the same time, customs control in respect of each vehicle that entered the territory of the post is carried out using the efficient use of modern control and technical equipment, without any obstacles and artificial barriers.

It should be noted that the customs authorities are taking all necessary measures to prevent accumulations at border customs posts. In this regard, joint work has been established with the customs services of neighboring countries.
