The State Customs Committee commented on the information disseminated on social networks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 September, information was spread on social networks that on the night of 17 September, 1-1.5 hours were spent on checking vehicles at the Gishtkuprik border customs post, due to which at the customs post formed a large accumulation of cars.
According to information received from the information systems of the State Customs Committee, 613 drove through the Gishtkuprik border customs post on 17 September 2019, and 576 vehicles on 18 September. In particular, these days 567 cars arrived in the territory of our republic from neighboring countries. In this process, an average of about 4-5 minutes was spent on the customs clearance of each vehicle.
In particular, in August this year, an average of about 4 minutes 52 seconds was spent on the customs clearance of one vehicle passing through this customs post. It is worth noting that such analytical data are published monthly on the official website of the State Customs Committee.
The reports said that vehicles with license plates removed and tinted windows allegedly drove out of turn.
When studying the recordings of CCTV cameras installed at the customs post, it became known that not a single case of movement out of the queue of cars with license plates and tinted windows was recorded.
For example, on 17 September at 23:31 a car with tinted glass of the “Lada 21713” brand belonging to the neighboring state arrives at the customs post and customs clearance is carried out at 23:40 for the car. The whole procedure took a total of about 11 minutes, despite the fact that during this time the driver of the vehicle managed to pay a fee for tinted windows in the amount of 141 169.50 soums at a bank branch located at the customs post.
At the same time, according to the results of the study, during the period from September 16 to September 18, 2019, the movement of vehicles without state registration number plates was not observed.
At the border customs post "Gishtkuprik", as at all border customs posts, all the necessary conditions for the possibility of comfortable movement of citizens are created. In particular, each entrance and exit has toilets, as well as special strollers for the elderly and for people with disabilities.
