Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government adopted a resolution “On measures to organize the activities of republican educational institutions”.

The resolution approved the Regulation on educational institutions of the republic.

In accordance with the Regulation, the status, tasks and organization of the activities of educational institutions for boys and girls in need of upbringing and education in special conditions are determined.

One of the main tasks of these institutions is to create conditions for compulsory general secondary education of students on the basis of state educational standards.

By decision of the court, minors with heavy behavior at the age of 14-18 are placed in institutions.

Pupils are in institutions before moral re-education, but not more than 3 years.

The resolution also approved the norms for the provision of food, clothing, shoes and other items to the pupils of these institutions.

For information, the Republican educational institution for boys and the Republican educational institution for girls were formed on the basis of the corresponding boarding schools by presidential resolution from 29 May 2019.
