Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- It should be noted that the role and participation of the Senate are strengthening in addressing pressing socio-economic issues.

Particular attention is paid to ensuring the correct and efficient implementation in the regions of the tasks defined at the meetings held under the leadership of the head of state.

In particular, on 21 May 2020, we visited the Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region and thoroughly examined the issues of integrated development of the territory.

A separate instruction of the President entrusted the Government with a specific task to determine measures aimed at the socio-economic development of the city of Kattakurgan and poverty reduction in 2020–2022. It is expected that in the coming days a government decree will be adopted in this direction.

In addition, we recently visited Kashkadarya region, carefully examined these issues, talked with the population, in particular with entrepreneurs. A significant part of the issues raised by them is resolved locally.

We decided to continue systematic work in the cities of Kattakurgan and Karshi.
