Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government Resolution approved the Regulation on the Appeal Board of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the Regulation, the Board of Appeal is a collegial body that carries out pre-trial consideration of appeals related to the legal protection of intellectual property.
The Board of Appeal is composed of the chairman, his deputy, board members and secretary. The Minister of Justice is the chairman of the Board of Appeal.
The council consists of qualified employees of the Ministry and the Agency, independent scientists and specialists. The Intellectual Property Agency is the working body of the Board of Appeal.
Meetings of the Council are convened as necessary by the chairman, and in case of his absence - by his deputy.
The person who filed the appeal or statement, and other persons who are parties to the case, are notified in writing by the Agency about the place, date and time of the meeting at least 10 days before the meeting.
Based on the results of the consideration of the appeal or application, the Council takes one of the decisions on satisfaction, partial satisfaction or refusal to satisfy the application.
The decision can be appealed to the court within 6 months from the date of its adoption.
