The Prosecutor’s Office starts investigation on beating of farmer by head of Interior Affairs Department

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Prosecutor’s office of Yangiabad region of Jizzakh region opened a criminal case against the head of the Interior Affairs Department, who broke the nose of the Uzbek farmer. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

On 9 July 2018, citizen N.Tursunboev called to the hotline of the Prosecutor General’s Office with a statement to take legal measures against the head of the Yangiabad regional interior affairs department Ilkhom Sulaimonov, who hit and injured his son Sardor Kurbonboev.

The pre-investigation showed that Ilkhom Sulaimonov, head of the Yangiabad regional interior affairs department, hit the Mr. Kurbonboev, saying that the harvesters are not collecting grain from the field.

Prosecutor’s office of Yangiabad district opened the investigation against Ilkhom Sulaimonov and investigation is underway.

The investigation in the criminal case was taken under the control of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
