The project of external power supply of the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant was completed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan JSC, supervised by the Ministry of Energy, completed the construction of external power supply facilities at the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant.

Currently, in accordance with the terms of reference, voltage is applied and commissioning is carried out, which usually lasts about 115 hours.

During construction, a high-voltage line with a capacity of 220 kV and a length of 2x23 (46) km was built, as well as a modern high-voltage substation "Sergeli" with the latest equipment.

The major project “Construction of external power supply facilities of Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi LLC” was implemented in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 29 March 2018 and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 28 June 2019.

The main objective of the project is to provide the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant with uninterrupted power supply, as well as to ensure reliable energy supply for part of household consumers in the Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent.

The implementation of the project will contribute to the implementation of the urgent tasks assigned to the economy by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to increase the production capacities of industrial enterprises in order to produce finished products by processing local raw materials, saturate the domestic market and ensure the export of competitive products.

In the course of the project, a new network was built between the Kuylyuk and Adolat substations. Sergeli substation is equipped with new modern equipment.

The contractor “Makhsuselektrtarmoqqurilish” installed 292 foundation blocks, 194 reinforced concrete supports of the SK-26 brand, 68 metal structures, and 46 km of high voltage cable were also stretched.

In addition, the contracting company MU-4 JSC completed the installation of 89 SK-22 reinforced concrete supports, completed the installation of a 200 MVA transformer, and built and commissioned a pump station. 110 kV distribution equipment pylons were also installed, a building with an operational control panel and other auxiliary facilities were commissioned.

The total cost of the project “Construction of external power supply facilities of Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi LLC” is US$29.022 million, including US$26.5 million from loans from the Reconstruction and Development Fund of Uzbekistan and US $2.521 million financed from own funds of JSC National electric networks of Uzbekistan ”.

It should be noted that the project area includes Sergeli district of Tashkent (the new Yangi Sirg’ali massif), as well as the Yukorichirchik, Urtachirchik, Kuichirchik, Yangiyul, Zangiata districts of Tashkent region, which will ensure the development of these territories.
