Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On improving the procedure for the return to Uzbekistan of children of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan left without parental care abroad”.
In accordance with the resolution:
- Children left without parental care abroad are returned to Uzbekistan by the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
- the return to Uzbekistan of children under the age of 3 years is organized jointly with the Ministry of Health;
- in the absence of a document confirming the identity of these children, their belonging to the citizenship of Uzbekistan is confirmed by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan abroad.
The provision approved by the resolution defines the procedure for the return of children who have lost parental care abroad.
According to the regulation, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Health are determined by the authorized bodies for the return of children who have lost custody of parents abroad.
This activity will be coordinated by the Main Department for the Prevention of Offenses of the Ministry of the Interior.
