Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The procedure for passing the qualification exam for the position of private notary has been determined in Uzbekistan.

The order “On Amendments and Additions to the Regulation on the Procedure for Holding a Competition for the Appointment of a Notary Public” passed state registration at the Ministry of Justice.

According to the order, in connection with the establishment of the activities of notaries engaged in private activities, amendments and additions were made to the Regulation on the procedure for holding a competition for the appointment of a notary public.

This Regulation has so far established the procedure for conducting competitions for notaries of state notaries, now it has also established the procedure for passing the qualification exam for the provision of the right to engage in private notarial activities.

In accordance with the amendments made to the Regulation, the following are defined:

- the provision of documents for the qualification exam to provide the right to engage in private notarial activities, the procedure and deadlines for passing the qualification exam;

- grounds for refusal to participate in the qualification exam;

- industry questions qualification exam;

- evaluation criteria based on the results of the qualification exam and more.

The Regulation also introduced a rule on the publication of examination questions on the official website of the Ministry of Justice.

In addition, now if a citizen working as a notary public, if he wishes to take part in an exam to move to another state notary's office, he will not be relieved of his post if he cannot score enough points.
