The population of Tashkent reaches 3 million people

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, as of 1 October 2023, the number of residents permanently residing in Tashkent reached 3.02 million people.

Of them, 1.48 million are men and 1.54 million are women.

The capital’s population first exceeded 1 million in 1960, 2 million in 1985.
