The Parliament approved the Decree of the President on the early termination of the state of emergency in the territory of Karakalpakstan.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan at a joint meeting on 20 July approved a presidential decree on the early termination of the state of emergency in the territory of Karakalpakstan.

The joint resolution of the chambers of parliament entered into force on the same day.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the early termination of the state of emergency in the territory of Karakalpakstan from 05:00 on 21 July.

This decision was made "taking into account the appeal of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and also taking into account that public order has been restored in the region, the safety of citizens, the protection of their rights and freedoms have been ensured."
