The Number of Trips by Uzbek Citizens to Pakistan Increased Nearly Sevenfold
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tourist exchanges between Uzbekistan and Pakistan saw significant growth in 2025, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
The number of trips in both directions increased several times compared to the previous year, reflecting intensified interactions between the two countries.
Official statistics indicate that 435 Uzbek citizens visited Pakistan for tourism in 2025. This figure is nearly seven times higher than that of the previous year. An analysis of the purpose of these trips shows that the majority of Uzbeks—272 people—traveled to Pakistan specifically for leisure and tourism.
Additionally, 95 visits were made for official business, 67 to visit relatives, and one citizen traveled for educational purposes.
The flow of Pakistani visitors to Uzbekistan also grew substantially. During the reporting period, about 18,752 Pakistani citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism, 3.4 times more than the previous year.
Among these trips, the largest share was for leisure, totaling approximately 10,700 visits. The remaining visits included around 5,800 business trips, 1,800 educational visits, 404 commercial trips, and 74 visits to relatives.
