Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A seminar was organized in Namangan with the assistance of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 13 December 2019 with the participation of doctors from Shymkent (Kazakhstan).

Guests from a neighboring country presented their achievements in the field of diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins (phlebology) and laser medicine. As noted, the Chimkent "Clinic of Phlebology and Laser Medicine", which they represent, in Kazakhstan is the first innovative specialized clinic in its direction.

The meeting of regional physicians of the two neighboring countries initiated by the National Chamber showed that such contacts are becoming a new level of partnership development that can give an impetus to the development of innovations in healthcare through a direct exchange of experience and achievements of doctors from regional clinics.

This workshop also demonstrated the possibilities of cooperation between public and private structures, which lead to a common goal - improving the level of medical care for the population in the regions of Uzbekistan. So, a meeting with Kazakhstani specialists was organized on the basis of the Anamed Namangan private diagnostic center, at the opening of the seminar, health professionals from the two countries were welcomed by representatives of such government agencies as the National Chamber of Innovative Health, the Namangan Oblast hokimiyat represented by deputy hokim Pakhriddin Matkarimov, and the regional public health department.

Namangan today actively promotes international contacts of medical specialists of the region, so on 8-9 October a delegation of doctors from the University of Michigan (USA) visited the region, whose visit was also organized by the National Chamber. American specialists conducted a series of examinations followed by counseling for residents of the region, and together with Namangan colleagues participated in a scientific conference, where an exchange of experience took place in such areas as oncological and reconstructive surgery, medical genetics and several others.

This time, the seminar provided an opportunity to discuss the use of modern methods of laser surgery, in particular for the treatment of varicose veins and proctological diseases. The productivity of this first joint seminar was emphasized by the founder of the clinic, Olimjan Irismetov. The meeting participants noted the importance of continuing cooperation of medical specialists from two regions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as it contributes to the growth of quality of health services.
