The “Namangan–Guiyang” Forum Strengthens Trade and Investment Cooperation with China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The “Namangan–Guiyang” Forum on trade, economic, and investment cooperation was successfully held in Guiyang, the administrative center of China’s Guizhou Province.
The event took place as part of a working visit by a delegation from Namangan Region to China and was organized by the Namangan Regional Administration with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the People’s Republic of China and Guizhou Huayu Group.
The forum was attended by the Governor of Namangan Region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to China, Farkhod Arziev, the President of Guizhou Huayu Group, Zhou Fu, and the Deputy Chairman of China Economical and Trade Magazine, Hua Yang.
Participants held detailed discussions on the region’s investment climate, industrial and agricultural potential, energy resources, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, and export opportunities in Namangan Region. Initiatives aimed at establishing joint ventures, introducing modern technologies, and enhancing export capacity were also presented.
As a result of the forum, eight investment agreements and contracts were signed with a total value of US$1.1 billion, covering industry, energy, construction, chemicals, the agro-industrial sector, and logistics. The implementation of these projects is expected to create new jobs, increase the production of high value-added goods, and accelerate the economic development of Namangan Region.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation within the “Namangan–Guiyang” format, elevating trade and economic ties between the two regions to a new strategic level.
