The Ministry of Internal Affairs asks to ride a bicycle only in case of emergency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The morning message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan stating that cycling is not prohibited is widely discussed on social networks. And on the Internet, there has been a sharp increase in demand for resources where bicycles are advertised.

“But we ask you to think: is it really a matter of whether bicycles were forbidden or not? The question is: why is it generally not recommended to go out?,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

The experience of countries that have survived and are experiencing an acute outbreak of coronavirus infection shows that the only effective measure to restrain the spread of the disease is quarantine. That is, the maximum restriction of social contacts. And this is only possible when you are at home, on self-isolation.

So those who ride a bicycle, for the sake of their own safety, for the health and well-being of their family, friends and other people, must observe the following recommendations:

- ride a bicycle only in case of emergency - for shopping at the store, for medicines at the pharmacy, if they are located really not within walking distance;

- those who ride a bicycle to work should remember that they are such road users, like motorists, therefore, they must follow the rules of the road;

- be in a medical mask and gloves;

- in the event that you are stopped by law enforcement officers, even if this happens for the hundredth time, respond calmly, restrained and polite about the purpose of your trip and present documents confirming the need for the trip.
