Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 June 2020, the new building of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan was commissioned on the territory of the university city in Almazar district of Tashkent.

The Ministry of Innovative Development was created by decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 29 November 2017. In December of the same year, construction began on the building for the new department on the territory of the university. On 24 May, the head of state familiarized himself with the progress of construction work on the spot.

The Ministry was created to accelerate the development of all sectors of the economy and the social sphere based on the achievements of world science, innovative ideas and technologies. In accordance with this, a five-story building of the department was built and equipped.

The building of the ministry consists of 6 floors with a basement. An innovative garden was erected around it.

On the ground floor there is an exhibition hall, an amphitheater, an office of young inventors, an information department, an electronic library, a cafe and a reception room for citizens.

On the second floor there is a Scientific and Practical Center for the implementation of innovative developments, modern laboratories of robotics and mechatronics, web programming, unmanned aerial vehicles, the Internet of things in industry, new generation 5G networks.

On the third floor are the Scientific and Technical Information Center, the Scientific and Practical Center of Intelligent Software Systems at the National University of Uzbekistan, the laboratory "Innovations and Solutions in Management", 12 offices for startups.

On the fourth and fifth floor there are offices for employees of the ministry, a conference hall with 170 seats, 2 conference rooms with 60 seats and 3 meeting rooms.

On the ground floor there are training laboratories for aerospace research and prototyping of 3D models.

The area of the innovation garden is 1.7 hectares, it includes 24 types of decorative trees and flowers, a fountain, a summer amphitheater and 2 venues for the presentation of innovative projects and technologies.

Interactive exhibition hall - “Showroom” provides information on innovative products, startup projects of leading foreign and domestic companies. It consists of 8 blocks, covering 37 projects in various fields.

Here, projects on robotics, technology transfer, as well as projects of members of the Academy of Youth, innovations in the field of agriculture, health care, public administration, and also a smart bank will be demonstrated.

For example, the robotics section, which presents robots from leading foreign companies. Visitors can try to assemble or control robots. And those who want to seriously engage in robotics can visit the training and research laboratory on the second floor.

In the technology transfer section in the economic and social spheres, you can learn about high technologies, smart devices, and innovations for everyday life.

The Ministry of Innovative Development carried out a transfer of technology to detect water leakage from pipes via satellite with the Israeli company Maya International and the production of polyester putty and polyester glue in cooperation with the Novol Asia joint venture (Poland). The exhibition also demonstrates affordable housing technology, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Malaysian company Cy Rewards. The advantage of this technology is that it allows you to build 2-3-story houses in a short time. At the same time, the cost of one square meter of such a house will be three hundred dollars.

In the interactive studio in the Ministry building, you can conduct online classes, webinars and video lessons. The studio will also help educate young people and improve the skills of specialists through distance technologies as part of the One Million Programmers Project.

The state pays great attention to attracting people to science and stimulating scientific research. The new modern building of the ministry has all the conditions for this. Talented youth will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest developments and technologies, as well as participate in startup projects.

The building uses augmented reality technology on the NazzAR platform. It allows users to interact interactively with world objects through a smartphone.

Among the promising projects of the Ministry of Innovative Development are innovations in medicine, projects of members of the Youth Academy, the creation of new cotton varieties resistant to cotton wilt, and the increase in potato and wheat yields using gene knockout technology.

Today, the Ministry of Innovation Development has created the necessary system to ensure the integration of science and production. It turns out to support innovative ideas and projects of research institutions and scientists, 31 start-up projects worth 28.2 billion soums were funded. In the framework of international cooperation, 38 joint projects are currently being implemented in the amount of 9.6 billion soums.
