The Ministry of Health launched a healthy lifestyle campaign

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March, the Ministry of Health organized a Republican marathon of walking throughout the republic.

From early morning, a walking marathon led by Health Minister Alisher Shadmanov was held at the Milly Stadium in Tashkent with the participation of employees of the Central Office of the Ministry, heads of medical institutions under the Ministry, and rectors of medical higher educational institutions.

The event was decorated with performances and performances by well-known representatives of the arts and culture of our country, and health workers held talks about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of walking.

- In the period of urbanization, inactivity is considered an acute problem worldwide. Weakness, drowsiness, sleep disturbance, loss of concentration, memory impairment, chronic fatigue, overweight - they are common to all, but not everyone associates these conditions with inactivity, - says the director of the Center for Supporting a Healthy Lifestyle and Increasing Physical Activity of the Population under the Ministry Health Barno Odilova. - According to the WHO, in the world annually 5 million die from smoking, and 5.3 million people die from immobility. Each of us is responsible for solving this problem, which is becoming global. Most importantly, such events are not one-time, but will be organized on a permanent basis.

The benefits of walking and hiking are as follows:

 

- When hiking, the blood moves more intensively through the vessels and enriches all internal organs, without exception, with a large amount of oxygen, which favorably affects the entire body.

- Hiking helps to cope with ailments of the cardiovascular system, strengthens blood vessels and the heart.

- Walking walks reduce the risk of diabetes.

- Walking has a positive effect on the digestive tract, makes it faster and better to digest food, helps to eliminate toxins from the body.

Walking trains the respiratory system, which has a beneficial effect on the work of the lungs. So with slight steps and breathing freely, we go forward to health!

According to experts, a total of 2.5 hours of physical activity per week reduces deaths by 28 percent, the probability of heart disease is 20 percent. That is, people who are in a state of physical activity for a week for at least 150 minutes are much healthier than sedentary people. In addition, as a result of physical activity in the body, the process of biosynthesis is activated, blood circulation increases by 4-5 times, the number of heart contractions is accelerated, and this leads to the appearance of new energy in the body.
