The Ministry of Energy and “Buyuk Kelajak” sign a memorandum of understanding

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and “Buyuk Kelajak”  signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 5 March 2019.

The document was signed by the Minister of Energy Alisher Sultanov and acting Executive Director of “Buyuk Kelajak” Zukhra Azimova.

As part of the partnership, the parties agreed to establish a joint expert group to discuss and propose projects that could have an impact on the reform of the country’s energy sector and its intensive development.

One of the main tasks of the creation of “Buyuk Kelajak” - an association of compatriots who have gained significant foreign experience in various fields, is to provide expert support and assistance in various areas of the economy and social sphere of Uzbekistan to increase the effectiveness of the reforms, the comprehensive and accelerated development of the state and society.

According to the Memorandum, the parties plan to cooperate in order to further intensively develop the energy sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan, taking into account the use of advanced foreign experience.

This includes, in particular, the development of proposals for: implementation of priority directions for the development of the country’s fuel and energy complex; reforming the electricity and oil and gas industry; construction of renewable energy and infrastructure with the use of modern technologies that provide a high level of industrial and environmental safety, and others.

It is envisaged that the parties can cooperate in organizing educational seminars, attracting leading experts to conduct negotiations, make decisions on projects, etc.
