The Minister of Public Education announces the cancellation of final exams in schools

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan (MoPE) has decided to cancel the final exams in the current academic year. This was announced by the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov.

“In order to fulfill the instructions of the President of the country to create favorable conditions for the population during quarantine, and also taking into account the numerous appeals of parents to the MoPE, it was decided to cancel the final exams in the current school year,” the minister said on his official Telegram channel.

“Schools, as an exception, are encouraged to set final grades for students based on grades for three quarters of the school year. At the same time, in schools where the kundalik.com system was successfully implemented, it is recommended to take into account only positive grades for the fourth quarter as an incentive for the efforts of students during the quarantine period,” he wrote.

“We express our gratitude to all parents who supported their children in organizing the educational process at home through the “online school”!”, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science said in his statement.
