Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 November 2019, a delegation of the Ministry of Justice, headed by Minister Ruslanbek Davletov, went to Minsk (Belarus) to attend the 14th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

It should be noted that on 19 November, the Republic of Uzbekistan has become a full member of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Within the framework of the visit, on 28 November, in the building of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, a meeting was held between Minister of Justice R. Davletov and Minister of Justice I.L. Slizhevsky, during which he on behalf of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan congratulated I.L. Slizhevsky with a significant date - the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the justice system of the Republic of Belarus and wished further legal success in the service for the benefit of the Belarusian people.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields of justice, including the provision of public services, notarial activities, rulemaking, law enforcement and others.

At the meeting, I.L. Slizhevsky praised Uzbekistan’s performance in the CIS Council of Ministers of Justice, emphasizing that expanding the Council will give a new impetus to the development of interregional cooperation in ensuring the rule of law, strengthening the rule of law and reliable protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, raising it to a new level.

Also, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus highlighted the successes of Uzbekistan in the provision of public services, and he expressed interest in continuing cooperation on the exchange of experience in the above field.

In turn, R. Davletov announced his readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus in the field of rulemaking and law enforcement practice and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.

The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus continues.
